We left Alamosa on Wednesday afternoon and drove to Grand Junction for the night. It was a crazy night and a lesson to, in the future, spend a few extra dollars to stay in a more reputable hotel. I tried to be thrifty and figured that one night at a Motel 6 couldn't be too bad. We were woken up at 3:00am by someone pounding on our door. Bill went to check it out and found two men outside our door, one was bent over in obvious discomfort. They didn't respond to Bill so he called 911, twice. By the time the police arrived, the man who was bent over had passed out (extremely intoxicated) and was completely unresponsive, so the police called the ambulance. All of this took place outside of our room and quite loudly...no respect for the people inside who were trying to sleep! I don't think I ever got back to sleep and I was so ready to get on the road and drive to Salt Lake City.
We arrived in Salt Lake City on Thursday afternoon and went to pick up Jamie's tux. He tried it on and needed a few alterations. He was so adorable...he even said, "You're right, mom...I DO look good in a tux!"

We saw Steve at Men's Wearhouse, who invited us over for dinner. J.B., Laura & Scott were there and Rob & Silver arrived as well. After our late night/early morning experience in Grand Junction, the three of us were exhausted, so we left early and went back to our room to turn in for the day. One thing about staying in a Senior Assisted Living Center...it is SO quiet!
Not a lot going on today...I'm going to help Bev with the scrapbook and then get a pedicure at 1:30. I also need to go to Kohl's and Ross to do some returns/exchanges. The wedding rehearsal is at 5:00 and a luau dinner at 6:30. Bonnie (Bill's sister) got in late last night so we've been hanging out with her this morning. I think we've decided to drive straight through to Alamosa on Monday. We want to visit with everyone for as long as possible and we want to avoid an overnight stay in Grand Junction.
