Stampede Parade

Stampede is a big deal in Monte Vista every year...it is a huge rodeo combined with a carnival, a concert (usually a country artist that I don't know - this year it was Blake Shelton) and parades every morning. The parades are huge with lots of floats, bands, and a variety of entertainment and the parade route goes west on Hwy 160 then back to the east on 3rd Avenue. Jamie loves parades because they hand out candy and, because he was the only kid on our side of the block, he made quite a haul.
