So, I didn't exactly know how to "tastefully" show off my surgery scars...this works for me and I hope it's not offensive to anyone else. This is five days after surgery (laparoscopic assisted vaginal hysterectomy) and these four tiny incisions and bruising are what remain. I know several women who have undergone hysterectomies and their experiences are horrendous, extended hospital stays, long recovery, pain and, of course, the huge abdominal scar. I am thankful for the advancement of medical technology in this area. I am feeling better with each day and, now that my digestive system is back on board, life is good! (You just don't know how GOOD it felt to have a "normal" poop!)Sunday, May 25, 2008
Five Days Post-Op

I am so glad things went well for you!!
I have also been recovering from the bug I picked up the last week of school, which turned out to be bronchitus and esophageal (horrible spelling) reflux.
One last note- it turns out that next year I will be the librarian at Polston! So I'll see Jamie regularly when he comes to check out books!
