We drove in rain from the NM border to Santa Fe. It was raining so hard near Raton that we could hardly see the road.
Shelby & Jamie had a blast on the Tram and on the top of Sandia Peak.
Shelby looking over the edge...her mom would be freaking out!

Jamie was all smiles & giggles on the ride back to Grandma's house.
Saturday, we went to Gram's house to visit Julie's family. Esteban, who lives in Los Angeles, was in town shooting a documentary. Gram had made her famous "stack cookies" and homemade ice cream...YUM!!!
Sunday morning we had breakfast at one of our favorite restaurants, Weck's. Inspired by Mimi, who does a food blog; I tried to take a photo of my delicious
green chili/chicken breakfast burrito. Just know that the burrito was way better than the photo. I guess photo- graphing food is an art I have yet to learn.
Before heading back to Alamosa, we met Julie's friend, Jerry, at Starbucks. I can't believe I didn't take a photo...next time Jer!

Weekend in NM
A View From the Top
It was a GREAT opportunity to experiment with the pano-stitch mode on my camera.

ASC Soccer Camp
ASC held their annual Soccer Camp last week. Almost 100 kids, ages 6-14, participated in the camp led by ASC Coach Cliff, his staff and several team members.
Jamie brought the brochure home from school last May and looked forward to soccer camp all summer.
At Soccer Camp, Jamie learned and practiced skills such as dribbling, passing, volley kicking and heading.
At the end of each days session, the kids were divided into age groups and got to scrimmage the grown-ups (50 vs 7).
On the last day, each group awarded ribbons and certificates to each kid. They also awarded trophies to the kids that excelled in certain areas.
Jamie was awarded the trophy for Defensive MVP and he was so thrilled! His first trophy in what, I'm guessing, will be a sports career full of recognition and awards through the years.
